Florida Tennis Center Wins "Champion Of Champions"
Daytona Beach (January 27, 2008) - Over 200 local tennis players in Volusia and Flagler Counties came to Daytona Beach representing local clubs and public facilities to support United Way agencies, Volusia Literacy Council, Family Renew Community, and The Arc and take home the coveted "Champion's" cup. The United States Professional Tennis Association teamed up with title sponsor Brighthouse networks to put on the event at the Florida Tennis Center. Every match won by the contestants accumulated points per round. The Florida Tennis Center teams won more matches than any other team and defended the title and bragging rights as having the best players in the area. All proceeds went to the United Way charities mentioned above. Here are the winners of each event:   Division Men's Women's 2.5 Steve Anthony/Tom Vance, Oceans J. Acquard/M.
