Our junior tennis program is dedicated to developing a passion in young players to become better tennis players. Each class has two or three objectives on which students focus. Rewards and other incentives are included in our program to help motivate kids to achieve their objectives.
Should a child take group or private lessons?
Group lessons are valuable because kids can hit with peers of similar ability and form or strengthen friendships with other kids. Private lessons can supplement group lessons by giving personal attention to improving stroke and footwork mechanics. Players can join a group any time as long as they are at the same skill level as the group they want to join. Players who demonstrate more advanced skill levels can "move up” to that group.

JUNIOR TENNIS PROGRAMS
SPRING 2012 10 & Under Tennis (Ages 5-10) This program teaches tennis, fundamental athletic skills and hand-eye coordination in a fun
environment. THE FIRST MONTH'S CLASS IS FREE to introduce your child to the game; after
one-month the fee is $5.00 per sessions. The class is led by a USPTA professional using age-
appropriate equipment and parental involvement is required. Tuesday AND Thursday 5:45 - 6:45 p.m. $40.00 per month (due on the 1st)
Classes start Thursday, January 5th
Junior Novice (Ages 7-13) Juniors at this level are developing strokes and working on coordianation, tracking, and
movement. Players look forward to playing in the 12 or 16 & under Novice league. Tuesday & Thursday 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.
$100.00 per month (due on the 1st) Classes start Thursday, January 5th
Junior Development (Ages 10-15) This level is for kids who can play league tennis. As a minimum, a player can rally a"hard" ball
ten times from the baseline with a Pro and serve 5 points in a row without double-faulting. They
are playing games that reinforce correct serving and groundstroke mechanics. Typically, these
players play Junior Team Tennis on Friday nights and would like to play Futures tournaments. Monday & Wednesday 4:45 - 6:15 p.m.
$130.00 per month (due on the 1st.) Classes start Monday, January 2nd
Junior Tournament (Ages 11-17) Juniors at this level are committed to the sport of tennis. They are already playing sanctioned
tournaments and/or High School tennis, and are focused on improving their USTA state ranking.
At least one practice match must be played per week as set up by the Pro. A development plan
with objectives will be prepared for each player. Additionally, it is recommended that at least
a half-hour private lesson is taken per week. Players will be observed in tournament competition.
Entry to this program is limited and requires coach approval.
Monday 4:45 - 6:15 p.m. and Two Fridays per month (to be announced each month)

Rain-out policy: Prices are based on 8 classes per month; as most months will have 9 classes, this allows
for one rain-out make-up per month. In the event of more than one rain-out, subsequent rain-outs will be
made up on a diiferent day.
