Meet the Florida Tennis Center-Daytona Beach Staff

Tom Kelly, USPTA/ PTR Tennis Manager

Tom began playing tennis when he was 11 years old in Greenbelt, Maryland and has worked for the City of Daytona Beach since 1993. As Director of the City Island Tennis Center, he developed many local junior and adult tennis players. Tom transferred to the Florida Tennis Center (FTC) in 2002 as the Head Tennis Professional. In March of 2009 Tom became the FTC's Manager.
Tom has served the local community in many areas. He initiated the Tennis Patrons of Greater Daytona Beach and worked with school officials to develop programs in local elementary schools. After serving as Director of the USTA District 16 and USPTA District 6, Tom received Florida's Service Award. Tom is one of a handful of professionals in the nation certified as both a “Little Tennis” and a “Competitive Player” specialist. Tom and his wife Elena were blessed with a baby girl January 2000.RETURN TO TOP
Linda Lohman, Pro Shop Manager

Linda has been at the Florida Tennis Center since its opening in 2002 and takes pride in the merchandise selection featured in our Pro Shop. Originally from Massachusetts and a copywriter by trade, Linda moved to Daytona Beach from Atlanta via the Northeast and Chicago. As a tennis player and fan, she enjoys working with FTC members to improve their tennis experience...and helps to keep them well dressed on court!RETURN TO TOP
Margrit Draugelat, Pro Shop Attendant

Born and educated in Switzerland, Margrit came to the U.S. in 1965. After 16 years in the Midwest working in the hotel and travel industry, she and husband Karl moved to Florida. While working at the Players Club in Palm Coast, she had a chance to meet some top players. After living in Miami and Orlando, she moved back to this area to become part of an outstanding tennis facility and its team.RETURN TO TOP
Brad Lohman, Maintenance Supervisor
Brad grew up in Pennsylvania and later worked his way through the Tennessee University system. After college, his career included many years as a teacher, administrator, coach and counselor in the education/recreation field. Brad has been associated with tennis for 25 years in development, instruction, and now facility and court maintenance. His expertise as a clay court specialist is his claim to fame!RETURN TO TOP
Richard Cio, Maintenance
"Cio" is the one who keeps our facility ship shape and in top working order, and he plays a pretty mean game of tennis himself!
